The most commonly used silicone fluids are methyl silicone fluids, whose organic groups are all methyl ones. As a featured silicone materials producer, Co-Formula provides several kinds of methyl silicone oils with various viscosity grade. You may find polydimethylsiloxanes or usually called dimethyl silicone oils with 0.65cst, 3~10cst, 350cst, 1000cst and 12500cst. Polymethylhydrogensiloxane or usually called methyl hydrogen silicone fluid is also available. Besides them, Co-Formula offers medium and high viscosity hydroxyl silicone fluids and modified silicone fluids as well.

Key Features of Methyl Silicone Oils

Co-Formula methyl silicone oils are colorless, odorless and volatile liquids. They are insoluble in water, methanol and ethylene glycol. Suitable solvents include benzene, dimethyl ether, methyl ethyl ketone, carbon tetrachloride and kerosene. Methyl silicone oils are normally with low vapor pressure, high flash point and ignition point. Co-Formula methyl silicone fluids have excellent heat resistance, electrical insulation, weather resistance, hydrophobicity, physiological inertia and less surface tension. They also have superior chemical stability, low viscosity-temperature coefficient and high compression resistance.

Main Applications of Methyl Silicone Oils
