1.KH-172 vinyl silane modifies polyethylene and other polymers by grafting onto the main chain of the polymer. The side chain of the polymer has a trimethylsilyl group as the active point of warm water crosslinking.
2. The advantages of polymer crosslinking are as follows: 1) better maximum service temperature 2) lower internal creep decomposition of polymer 3) better chemical resistance 4) excellent pressure cracking 5) better wear resistance 6) higher impact strength 7) memory properties (shrinkage film and pipe).
3. The advantages of silane cross-linking over irradiation cross-linking or peroxide cross-linking are as follows: 1) low equipment investment, 2) low production cost, 3) high productivity, 4) process diversity, 5) wide process tolerance (control of premature cross-linking) for filling composites 8 ) Suitable for all densities of polyethylene and copolymers
Application:
In the extruder, KH-172 vinyl silane can be grafted onto the main chain of polyethylene through the action of peroxide initiator. The grafted polyethylene can be made into molded products such as cable sheaths and insulation, pipes or other extruded and molded products, which is the second step of the extrusion process. The product was finally crosslinked by warm water.
