Application of Co-Formula Silane Coupling Agent in Photovoltaic Sealant

1. Co-Formula silane coupling agents are also fully applied in photovoltaic sealants. Silicone sealant is mainly used in PV module frame, backsheet and junction box bonding to prevent water and oxygen in the air from entering the solar PV module to oxidize the silicon cells in the module, resulting in lower conversion rate of silicon cells. Therefore, the gap between the frames of PV modules must be sealed with a sealant with good adhesive sealing and weather aging resistance; the power conversion box (i.e., junction box) must also be sealed with a sealant around the shell to protect the circuit board and extend its service life.

2. Solar photovoltaic modules are mainly used in outdoor applications, so the choice of silicone sealants need to be used outdoors for a long time and must adapt to the climate variability of different regional environments, such as high temperature and humidity, high and low temperature, strong ultraviolet rays, wind and rain and other natural conditions. Adding the right amount of Co-Formula silane coupling agent to the sealant used in PV modules can shorten the surface drying time and improve the tensile strength of the sealant. It can also improve the normal temperature bonding of PV sealant, and help its bonding in UV radiation and high temperature and high humidity environment.
