Epoxy silanes mainly used to improve the bonding performance of organic materials and inorganic materials, such as glass fibers in glass fiber reinforced plastics, plastics, rubbers, paints, siliceous fillers in coatings and other materials. Moreover, it also used in adhesives to increase bonding performance and its suitable resins include epoxy, phenolic, melamine, polysulfide polyurethane, polystyrene, etc.
They Improve the adhesion of inorganic fillers, substrates and resins, thereby improving the mechanical strength and electrical properties of the composite material, and have a higher retention rate in the wet condition. Epoxy silane coupling agent is suitable for epoxy sealant filled with quartz, epoxy concrete repair material or paint filled with sand, and epoxy mold material filled with metal. Meanwhile, it can also improve the adhesion of two-component epoxy sealant and also improve the adhesion of acrylic latex, sealant ,polyurethane and epoxy coatings.
