Modification of Co-Formula silane coupling agents in inorganic powders
Co-Formula Silane coupling agent can be used for the surface treatment of many inorganic powders, such as fillers or pigments, which has the best effect on quartz powder, glass fiber, silica, etc., which contains more silicicic acid components. The effect is also better for kaolin, hydrated alumina, magnesium oxide, etc., and less effective for calcium titanate which does not contain free acid.
I、Selection of Co-Formula silane coupling agent
When choosing Co-Formula silane coupling agent for surface modification treatment of inorganic powder, we must consider the type of polymer base material, and also carefully choose Co-Formula silane coupling agent according to the application object and purpose of inorganic powder after surface modification.
Recommended Co-Formula silane are as follows:
CFS-302 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane [CAS 919-30-2]
CFS-292 N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane [CAS 3069-29-2]
CFS-838 3-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane [CAS 2530-83-8]
CFS-7403-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane [CAS 4420-74-0]
CFS-850 3-Methacryloylpropyltrimethoxysilane [CAS 2530-85-0]
CFS-534 Vinyltris(2-methoxyethoxy)silane [CAS 1067-53-4]
II、How to use Co-Formula silane coupling agent
There are two methods of applyingCo-Formula silane coupling agent.
One is to prepare the silane into an aqueous solution, using it to treat inorganic powders and then mixed with organic polymers or resin base materials. Pre-treatment method, the method of surface modification treatment effect is good, is a common method of surface modification.
Another method is to mix silane with inorganic powder (such as filler or pigment) and organic polymer base material, i.e. migration method.
