Overview:
CFS-8766[Y-9669;KBM-573;Z-6883] is a monoaminosilane with a primary ammonia and three hydrolyzable alkoxy (methoxy) groups in its molecular structure. This dual reactivity allows them to improve the bonding, adhesion and compatibility between inorganic materials (glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (thermosetting resins, plastics, elastomers) through bi-directional chemical reactions with them, thereby improving the mechanical properties of resin-based composites or improving properties such as bond strength and water resistance of resin coatings. In different applications, they can be used as coupling agents, adhesion promoters, curing agents, surface modifiers for color fillers, etc.
CFS-8766[Y-9669;KBM-573;Z-6883] is a trimethoxysilane, which hydrolyzes significantly faster than triethoxysilane SCA-A10E, providing faster reaction and curing speed, but its hydrolysis reaction has methanol as a side reactant, which is slightly less environmentally friendly.

Reaction characteristics:
In the presence of water, the alkoxy groups of CFS-8766[Y-9669;KBM-573;Z-6883] to form active silicone hydroxyl groups, while releasing methanol or ethanol as by-products of the hydrolysis reaction. This silicone hydroxyl group will form a chemical bond with the hydroxyl group on the surface of various inorganic materials (substrates or fillers) by condensation reaction, while their double amino groups can chemically or physically bond with suitable polymers.
The hydrolysis reaction of CFS-8766[Y-9669;KBM-573;Z-6883] occurs automatically in the presence of water, without the addition of acids as catalysts. The pH of their hydrolysate solution is generally in the range of 10~11. To obtain more stable hydrolysis products, it is recommended to adjust the pH of the hydrolysate to about 4.
CFS-8766[Y-9669;KBM-573;Z-6883] will react with ketone and ester solvents, so it is not recommended to dilute this product with the above solvents. Silane itself or silanized substrates can react with carbon dioxide in the air and form corresponding carbonates or carbamates.
Suitable inorganic materials for CFS-8766[Y-9669;KBM-573;Z-6883] include siliceous materials such as glass, glass fiber, glass wool, mineral wool, mica, quartz, etc. and metals and their oxides such as aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, kaolin, talc, steel, zinc, aluminum, etc., but it is basically ineffective for fillers such as calcium carbonate, graphite, carbon black, barium sulfate, etc., which do not contain hydroxyl groups on their surfaces.
CFS-8766[Y-9669;KBM-573;Z-6883] suitable polymers include (but not limited to) phenolic, epoxy, furan, urea-formaldehyde, polyurethane, acrylic, polyester, silicone, nitrile and other thermosetting resins and nylon, polycarbonate, PBT, PET, EVA, modified PP, PVC, PVB, PVAC, PS and other plastics.
