Overview
CFS-348 [A-1871;KBE-403;Z-6041] is an
epoxy adhesion promoter, which has an epoxy functional group and three hydrolysable alkoxy groups (ethoxy) in its molecular structure. This dual reactivity allows them to improve the bonding, adhesion and compatibility between inorganic materials (glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (thermosetting resins, plastics, elastomers) by means of a two-way chemical reaction with them, thus improving It improves the mechanical properties of resin-based composites or improves the adhesive strength and water resistance of resin coatings. In different applications, it can be used as a coupling agent, adhesion promoter, curing agent, surface modifier for colour fillers, etc.
Applications
As an additive or formulated as a primer for polyurethane, silicone, epoxy, phenolic, acrylic, polysulfide, urea-formaldehyde and other coatings, inks, adhesives and sealants to improve the adhesion, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, boiling resistance and scrub resistance of resin coatings, to extend the service life, and to improve the dispersion and bonding of colors and fillers in the resin phase.
CFS-348 [A-1871;KBE-403;Z-6041] can be used in polyurethane resin sand casting and resin abrasives to improve the adhesion and water resistance of resin and silica sand or abrasives.
Mineral filler or glass fibre filled plastic (PBT, nylon, etc.), rubber, resin (epoxy, etc.), used to improve the dispersion and combination of filler and fibre in the resin phase, to improve the mechanical strength of the product.
Inorganic mineral fillers (e.g. silica micropowder, etc.), flame retardants (e.g. magnesium hydroxide, etc.) and surface treatment of glass fibres to improve their dispersion, compatibility, bonding and reinforcement in the resin phase.
