The oil used for raw silk and raw cotton is low viscosity methyl silicone oil, generally 10 viscosity.The smoothing agent for sewing thread is medium and high viscosity methyl silicone oil, generally 500 viscosity silicone oil is used. Using the thermal stability and low viscosity-temperature coefficient of methyl silicone oil, a spinning oil made of antistatic agent, emulsifier and other oils is used in the spinning process of nylon and polyester to prevent spinning. During the process, when the extremely thin monofilament bundle is ejected from the spinneret and when it is rapidly wound up, wire breakage and loosening caused by electrification occur. As defoamer. Due to its low surface tension, insoluble in water, good chemical stability and non-toxicity, dimethyl silicone oil has been widely used as a defoamer in petroleum, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, food processing, textile, printing and dyeing, papermaking and other industries. The secondary processing of silicone oil can also produce defoamer emulsion, which is used in water-based systems.
For insulation, dustproof, anti-mildew coating. Dip coating a layer of 201 methyl silicone oil on the surface of glass and ceramics, and heat treatment at 250-300 ℃, a semi-permanent waterproof, mildew-proof and insulating film can be formed. As a release agent. It is not sticky to rubber, plastic, metal, etc. It can also be used as a mold release agent for various rubber and plastic products molding and processing, and in precision casting. As a lubricant. Used as lubricant for rubber, plastic bearings and gears. It can also be used as a lubricant for steel-to-steel rolling friction at high temperatures, or as a lubricant for steel and other metals.

As additives. It can be used as an additive for many materials, such as a gloss enhancer for paint. Adding a small amount of silicone oil to the paint can make the paint not float and wrinkle, and improve the brightness of the paint film; adding a small amount of silicone oil to the ink can improve the brightness of the paint film.
